Its funny with ferrets.... A good friend told me they will steal anything that isnt nailed down... unfortunately for us, if it is... the little beggars will find a claw hammer.
Everyone has heard the stories of the sock fairies that hide in washing machines and dryers.... Old wives tale I am afraid. It is the local ferret population having a little fun! It would seem that as soon as their slaves backs are turned they escape for a little cotton and nylon thievery. Perhaps it is a competition as to how may socks they can collect in one evening... who knows, I only hope that one day we do not end up finding a rather large pile of socks somewhere surrounded by a conglomeration of rather guilty furry little faces!
You can see the determination in their little faces, almost as if it has been bred through thousands of generations of these endearing little creatures. Don't let their sweet demeanour confuse you. They are natural born rogues. Even if they do appear somewhat aloof and intelligent!
The story of the missing socks is as old as the hills, and will probably outlive us ferret slaves. On these pages are a selection of suspicious looking polyester loving purloiners getting up to what we would only term as mischief!
PLEASE READ ON WITH CAUTION... AND REMEMBER
DONT REMOVE YOUR SOCKS!
